:: Mystik Mask 532 :: When drawing, connecting lines together, feeling patterns, all the blackness formed has a smell of memories, textures that bring walls and tables into the vision again. While ink bleeds onto the paper, I feel places resurrected again inside me, and there is a sense of presence constructed out of ethereal world we inhabit as well. At the initiative of Sweatshop Union’s rapper Steve Messinger, three artists Ron Akews, Def 3 and Azza hit the walls of the CAFCA gallery. Working in graffiti, illustration and design these three will be presenting a selection of old and new works as well as creating temporary works for the gallery and cafe walls.

This exhibition giving form to an ongoing conversation about the relationship between fine art, street art, illustration and design highlights works from one of the most interesting artistic intersections of our time.

The Leisure Gang Art Show opens on August 20th (reception w/ DJ 7-9pm) closes on September 2nd, 2012. Check it out!
